Much of the food we consume is fortified with iron and this can pose a problem to those with genetic variants in iron-regulating genes (HFE, SLC40A1) spurring on increased absorption and/or storage of excess iron, which may create inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. This product contains nutrients to reduce iron absorption and lactoferrin to modulate iron usage in those with normal iron levels. Taking one to two capsules with meals may be an effective way to support healthy iron levels.
